Pizza Hut Signature Series by Chef Nik Michael

This will be a food post.
As we have try out the latest Pizza Hut's Signature pizza, I think I'm just going to play out the verdict here...in my point of view :P

Their new Signature Series comes in five flavours:

  • Pepperoni Perfetto
  • Fisherman's Catch
  • Barbecue Bang
  • Seriously Sriracha
  • Italian Primo

Top (from left) : Pepperoni Perfetto (Beef), Barbecue Bang,
Bottom (from left) : Seriously Sriracha, Fisherman's Catch
Pepperoni perfetto : Go for the classic favourite with the deliciously improved beef pepperoni pizza.
Fisherman's Catch : Seafood lovers can rejoice with toppings of tuna,
crabmeat sticks and pineapple in Thousand Island sauce.
Seriously Sriracha : Shredded chicken, red capsicum, mushrooms, pineapple
and red onions get spiced up with drizzles of sriracha, the world-renowned chili sauce.
Barbecue Bang : Enjoy the smoky flavours of the BBQ grill with shredded chicken, sliced mushrooms
and red onions drizzled with deluxe BBQ sauce.

Coffee Kitty verdicts :

The crust : excellent! maybe a 8/10 for me? thin and soft with a bit of crunchyness at the edge.
Pepperoni perfetto : not really a pepperoni fan, but this one not bad.. 7/10
Fisherman's Catch : the all too familar taste of hawaiian pizza? not that much different for me.. originality maybe 3/10..but the taste is 7/10
Seriously Sriracha : taste just nice for me with the famous sriracha sauce on top.. 7/10
Barbecue Bang : my nightmare for bbq pizza is the sauce..the all too much sauce they tend to put which makes all the other ingredient taste bland..but surprisingly, this one taste much better. The bbq sauce is not too overwhelming.. 7/10

One pizza is as big as a regular pizza, with 8 slices each.. So we managed to divide it among 7 of us (some growing kids of course will get the extra :P)

Overall Rating : 8/10 (or maybe I'm just hungry..hohohoho)

Green Tea Tiramisu

My first time here for the desserts as I'm usually here just for the food. Now I've had my decent share of cakes, puddings, and chocolates, but I've never had something like this before. I don't even know what it should be called. Pudding crumbs? And don't let the appearance put you off. But that doesn't matter because it's extremely delicious for me.

The base of the cup starts with the extremely flavorful Tiramisu cake and being top with green tea crumbs. The portion itself is pretty good but not very good considering the huge ask of the price. Overall, I really enjoyed it

Guilty Pleasure : 9/10

of Coffee and Chocolate

Note : Not Halal Certified Shop (still waiting for JAKIM)
Bing! Mint Mocha Ice Blended
Bing! Coffee is not a strange name anymore among Kuchingnites... The first branch ever was in Jalan Padungan, where in the beginning of the days, only full of those tourists and expatriates who are looking for a good cup of coffee..real coffee in a way..

As back in the day, it's quite hard to find a proper coffee place that serves a real cup of cappuccino or even a cafe latte!

As years gone by, bing! have become some sort of a significant place for people to do a meet up and some just hanging in a relaxing atmosphere with a good cup of coffee that taste better but less expensive than those Starbucks or even Coffee & Tea...

the place have a lots of other good drinks to be tried.. will try to do some more later..

and the food~~~ have i mention that they have the best lasagna in town!??? XD (food talk later)

Now, they have 5 different branches that makes us the bing! craze people, go crazy... :P
Locations:
Address and location of the branches
Green Height Branch (Google map)

okay, history ramblings aside...

The picture of that glorious drink on my dashboard is...the Mint Mocha Ice Blended (the original one is without mint tho..but since i love minty drink, so why not? :P )
My verdict are:-

Chocolateyness : 9/10 (can I give 10?? hahahha)
Mintyness (because its mint :P) : 10/10 (the amount of mint is just nice to be combine with the taste of the mocha..not too heavy like some other places)
Price : rm 11.90 7/10

The origins of 3 layer teh C peng (teh C peng special)

Note: Non halal coffee shop

It's been said, nothing beats the the original. Is this also true for a popular local drink?

Location: Fresh food court, Lorong Liu Shan Bang 3, Kota Sentosa 93250 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia (Google Map)

Located in-front of Kota Sentosa's wet market, this food court is famed to be the creator of 3 layer teh c peng. Parking can be a big problem here especially during weekends. But that does not stop a lot of Kuchingnites from driving all the way here for the refreshing drink

The drink in all it's glory. First thing that strike me when  I was served the drink was how small the cup was!! To make it worse, they added a lot of ice in it. Personally I still think it is totally worth it. The main aroma and taste resembles ais kacang (Wiki) but still has it's own unique flavor which is the main highlight.

Freshness : 9/10
Authenticity : 10/10
Price : RM2.30* (Before GST) 5/10

Overall Rating: 8/10
*I went before GST implemented, so price may be even worst
